THE SORROWS (you only see what you choose to see)

The "Sorrow" paintings were inspired by my love of the Italian Renaissance. It is also a very personal series for me.
I'm using classical imagery along with very current events.
The use of the "dolls" symbolise how religious iconography has become an object but the spirtual significance has been lost.
We only see what we choose to see.
The world is imploding on itself and religion is being weaponised.
